Improving QMRI By Realizing trustworthy integration of AI in Neuro-imaging (IQ-Brain)

Project summary
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the gold standard technique used in clinical practice for the diagnosis and monitoring of neurological diseases but is limited to the visual detection of macroscopic lesions. Quantitative MRI (qMRI) offers more objective measurement of actual tissue parameters, which can be used to assess subtle changes in tissue morphology. With the support of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the IQ-BRAIN project aims to enhance and accelerate qMRI methods by integrating physics-based models with advanced AI.
Impact
In collaboration with academia, industry, and hospitals, the project will bridge the gap between research and clinical application and train the next generation of qMRI specialists.
