Evidence based Care voor wijkverpleegkundigen: ontwikkeling verpleegkundige richtlijn verzorging Centraal Veneuze Katheters
Project summary
The aim of this project is to develop a quality standard (guideline) “care CVK” for district nurses and nurse specialists. Important starting point is that the guideline is widely supported, applicable to children and adults in the home setting, taking into account specific requirements. The guideline aims to formulate evidence-based recommendations for nurses and caregivers. These are evidence-based recommendations on topics as:
1) Personal hygiene measures to be taken by the nurse around care of CVK should be taken;
2) How to recognize infections of a CVK and how to deal with them;
3) How to involve the patient/client in CVK care.
