Hitting the prostate cancer cell via PSMA-targeted radiotherapy: safer and better

Project summary
The KWF-sponsored translational research project entitled “Hitting the prostate cancer cell via PSMA-targeted radiotherapy: safer and better” is a jointed initiative of the Departments of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine, Genetics and Experimental Urology of Erasmus MC. This preclinical project aims to establish the best and safest PSMA-targeted radiotherapeutic approach for prostate cancer using in vitro cell line-based, ex vivo tissue slice technology and in vivo animal experimentation. The project is highly multidisciplinary involving biologists, chemists and physicians, with technologies that are shared between the three partners.
