Lifelong VISION

Project summary

Blindness is rated among the top 15 causes of disability. In Lifelong VISION, we will combat blindness by developing the next generation of treatment strategies. We will focus on gene therapy, therapy targeting disease mechanisms, and cell therapy, and test these using robust model systems of the eye. We will exploit the advances in artificial intelligence to match patients and timing with treatment.

The resulting technologies and treatments will serve as a blueprint for other diseases and organs.
