The cause of MS is still unknown. Previous studies have shown that certain small changes in DNA and the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), the cause of mononucleosis, play a role. dr. Marvin van Luijn (MS center ErasMS) and his team are convinced that the key to the cause of MS lies in the immune system and will conduct further research into this.
