Our Smart Family Buddy (ID-Buddy)

Project summary

Young families in poor neighbourhoods benefit less from technological developments to improve lifestyle habits. ‘Our Smart Family Buddy’ is an interactive digital platform with human interaction and environment, aimed at providing tailored support to vulnerable families in adopting a healthy lifestyle and in making care more accessible for them by also encouraging them to care for each other. The Buddy will be developed through field lab methodology, such as co-creation and learning communities with families and experts, and public and private organisations such as schools, child health clinics, government bodies, IT and health insurance providers.

Our aim is that this Buddy contributes to better health, reduces healthcare and societal costs, and has a positive impact on health and social inequalities.
