Recovery from DNA damage makes the difference: how different cell types deal with DNA damage
Project summary
Damage to DNA, carrier of genetic information, has serious consequences for the functioning of cells and causes cancer and aging. Cells use specific repair mechanisms to repair damage, but likely not every cell type does so in the same way. In this project, the researchers study how different cell types deal with DNA damage.
