Screening of Head-and-Neck cancer patients for esophageal cancer

Project summary

This research will screen patients with head and neck cancer for the presence of esophageal cancer. These patients are more likely to get esophageal cancer than the general population. The researchers hope to detect esophageal cancer at an early stage by screening.

Patients have a better chance of survival and a better quality of life if the oesophageal cancer gets detected earlier.
