Multi-omics approach to simultaneously quantify transcripts, proteins, and genome-wide binding sites of proteins in single cells
Project summary
Cellular development and differentiation is a tightly controlled process that is orchestrated by the transcriptional regulation of genes. Transcription factors (TFs) and signaling pathways are important components of this gene transcription regulatory module. The main objective of this project is to develop a novel method that will allow me to understand the network of several TFs and signaling pathways during mouse embryonic stem cell differentiation to hematopoietic and neural lineages in collaboration with expert groups in these areas.
Impact
This project will benefit biomedical research by giving new insights into cellular development, differentiation, and disease conditions. A deeper understanding of the fundamental mechanisms is expected to generate new hypothesis, discover potential new targets for drug discovery and therapeutic intervention; benefiting both biomedical research and society.
