Unleashing a CoMprehensive, Holistic and Patient Centric Stroke Management for a Better, Rapid, AdvancEd and PersonaLised Stroke Diagnosis, TreAtment and Outcome Prediction (Umbrella)

Project summary
A stroke can lead to long-term disability or even death, making prompt treatment crucial. Therefore, there is an urgent need for innovative stroke care methods to address cases rapidly. The EU-funded UMBRELLA project aims to revolutionise stroke care by improving and standardising the entire care pathway, with a focus on rapid treatment access, accurate diagnosis, personalised management, and rehabilitation. The project involves seven top-tier European clinical centres and aims to develop a federated data platform for AI algorithms to enhance personalised diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Impact
Additionally, it will implement standardised stroke management protocols and procedures across the participating centres and use advanced digital technologies to facilitate data collection, visualisation, patient engagement, and decision-making.
