(NP3-study) National postpartum psychosis prevention offspring study

Project summary

The National Postpartum Psychosis Prevention study (NP3 study) is an observational cohort study in which 100 pregnant women have participated to date who have experienced a (postpartum) psychosis or have bipolar disorder. This study relates to a follow-up study of the NP3 study. The purpose of this study is to map the development of the children whose mothers have participated in the NP3 study.

Impact

It is very important to determine whether the young children of these vulnerable mothers need extra care. In this way the right interventions can be started early in development and preventive measures can be taken so that the child can develop as optimally as possible.
